ON-site COVID testing
Bateleur Safari Camp offers full PCR COVID testing on-site for guests who will be traveling home directly from the camp. Bateleur books the service providers in advance to the testing date. We are bound by the time slots available and this could mean that a camp activity is missed. Results are available within 24 hours and we will print a copy for each person. All tests can be paid for by Credit Card at the camp. Pricing can be provided to you on request. Please send us a mail below for details.

A Message from the Owners and Managers
The owners and all staff of Bateleur Safari Camp have signed a pledge to adhere to Bateleur’s COVID-19 Protocol which has been formulated in accordance with South Africa’s COVID-19 Protocols for Tourism Industry Operations. The managers and assistant managers will act as Safety Officers at Bateleur Safari Camp in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.
Bateleur’s COVID-19 Protocol is included in all marketing material to educate guests and agents regarding the procedures and processes that are being followed at the camps.
Safety Officer Duties
- Implement, maintain, and improve the Protocol.
- Continuous risk assessment.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the Protocol and the compliance of both staff and guests.
- Establishment and implementation of protocol for guests or staff that present with COVID-19
